Last week, some things wicked this way came. Here are a few of them.
The Times of Israel reported that a section of the $320 million floating pier built and erected off Gaza's coast has broken off and floated onto an Israeli beach. The Saturday mishap is the latest setback for the US humanitarian aid project, after three US troops were reported injured aboard the pier two days prior, including one critically.
You aren’t the only one who’s noticed a distinct dearth of competence on the part of those whose primary justification for their authority is their competence.ABC News reported that the cargo ship that struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore nearly two months ago was moved from the crash site for the first time on Monday morning, clearing the way for ships to resume travel through the Port of Baltimore.
They only shut down one of the largest ports in America for two months? Is there something about water that attracts incompetent clowns?Slay News informs us that JPMorgan Chase, America’s largest bank, has just rolled back its policy that led to the “debanking” of conservative and Christian customers
According to Fox News, JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in the U.S., recently “rolled back” its “social risk issues” policy, which resulted in the “debunking” [sic] of several Christian nonprofits and conservative individuals.
Its WePay service required merchants to refuse to accept payments from those flagged with the “social risk issues” category.
Now I’m sure they think Trump is likely to win.
The Independent Sentinel notes that the Biden administration’s $7.5 billion investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations is progressing a tad slowly. Only seven or eight stations have been built since 2021. They promised 50,000 a year, but we got four instead.
But Secretary Buttigieg and his husband had a baby. That’s much more important than a shortfall of .99986% on the number of EV charging stations built. Priorities, people!I suspect our new gods are just screwing with us now.
It used to be that correctly answering the question would have been a no-brainer. But that was before approximately half of those living in America were apparently born with no brains.
Watts Up With That? reports that the NSW government will extend the life of Origin Energy’s Eraring coal-fired power station for at least two more years until August 2027, at a cost of up $225 million a year, after warnings the shift to renewable energy has fallen off track.
Meanwhile, the doddering husk in the Oval Office is going all-out to “gut” the coal industry in America. The Epoch Times is reporting that Governor Newsom signed a bill into law on May 23, allowing Arizona doctors to travel to the Golden State on a temporary basis to perform abortions for their patients.
Senate Bill 233, introduced by state Sen. Nancy Skinner of Oakland and Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry of Winters, allows licensed Arizona abortion providers to come to California and provide abortions or abortion-related care to patients from Arizona who travel to the state for such procedures until near the end of this year.
I foresee a string of janky abortion mills opening in seedy strip malls along the California-Arizona border, with signs out front saying “Have curette, will travel.” Well, at least until SWAT teams from the California AMA burn them to the ground, enraged by the competition. And Joe Biden hired a memelord. One X-wag already submitted his application, I think:
And that was the week that was, another conflagration of clowns, hacks, and hijack attacks, folks. Clowns to the left of us, jokers to the rigth, and here we are, stuck in the middle with each other.
