The Charge of "Islamophobia" Is Losing Its Teeth

And none too soon.

Islamophobia is the irrational and unjustified fear of, hatred of, or prejudice against the religion of Islam or Muslims in general,[1][2][3][4][5] especially when seen as a geopolitical force or a source of terrorism.[

Given how the campaign against “Islamophobia” in the west gained both impetus and leadership under the administration of George W. Bush in the wake of the 9/11 atrocity committed by 19 mostly Saudi Muslims associated with a CIA-inspired group empowered to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, one has to at least wonder at the urgency on the matter displayed by President Bush at the time.

On September 17, 2001, a mere six days after the attack, with fires still smoldering the the rubble of the World Trade Center, Bush issued this somewhat remarkable statement at a somewhat remarkable location - the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C, surrounded by Muslim leaders. That seems more irrational to me than anything about “Islamophobia.”

We've just had a -- wide-ranging discussions on the matter at hand.  Like the good folks standing with me, the American people were appalled and outraged at last Tuesday's attacks.  And so were Muslims all across the world.  Both Americans and Muslim friends and citizens, tax-paying citizens, and Muslims in nations were just appalled and could not believe what we saw on our TV screens.

     These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith.  And it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that.

     The English translation is not as eloquent as the original Arabic, but let me quote from the Koran, itself:  In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil.  For that they rejected the signs of Allah and held them up to ridicule.

     The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam.  That's not what Islam is all about.  Islam is peace.  These terrorists don't represent peace.  They represent evil and war.

Since this is obviously such a transparent lie, something demonstrated time and again in the years since, (and previously, if truth be acknowledged), one has to wonder what led President Bush to place such importance on it that he stated it as he did in that time and place.

Even more astonishing, the entire weight of Amercan cultural, social, governmental, and religious leadership immediately fell in line and supported the sentiment overwhelmingly.

Efforts have been made to explain the phenomenon, but only sporadically, because the entire subject has been made more or less taboo by those who control the principal sources of information used and, (oddly) trusted by the American people. And yet we do question it, very many of us, if only quietly and under our breaths, fearing (rightly) various punishments both official and unofficial which are meted out to those who question the Received Narratives issued from on high.

But it seems that is finally beginning to break down and, as it so often will, reality, accompanied by its handmaiden truth, is making itself felt once again.

Let’s get real on Islam. Its core principle is to exterminate the humans on this planet who are not of Islam. Islam has been pissed-off at Western Civ since the Crusades, its animus renewed in 1683, when Islam’s advance into Europe was halted at the gates of Vienna, and then again in modern times when Islam got pushed around because Western Civ wanted its oil. Islam is overrunning Europe again and penetrating the USA through our southern border. Islam means business. It wants to wreck us, kill us, and take our stuff. And it dearly, sorely, wants to deep-six Israel, which Islam contemptuously refer to as “the Zionist entity,” as if it were some crypto-insectile space alien.

This sort of thing was once upon a (very long ago) time not considered a particularly controversial stance.

Winston Churchill, certainly no slouch at the sweeping characterization, had this to say back in 1899: (cited without much disapproval by no less than noted Arab-American commentator Raymond Ibrahim just yesterday):

Consider the following quote from Churchill’s 1899 book, "River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan (vol.1)": How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Churchill was obviously not a stranger to his subject. That his views here are abruptly receiving a new hearing - in these days, after all these years and the recent two-and-a-half decade demonization of them by all the good and the pure of the West - must signal some sort of transition.

The pendulum swings, and then swings again.

That militant Islam, (which is most of it, one way or another) is once again at the Gates of Vienna, and even well beyond them, may have been the catalyst. Yet if so, why now? That process of Muslim immivasion has been going on for quite some time now.

I submit that the real reason is that Islam’s most militant and dangerous paladins made a great mistake in publicizing the atrocities it committed against Israel on October 7th of last year, thus setting off a great controversy between those who hate Jews, and those who hate Muslim.

And the most unforeseen result? Somehow, the truth is managing to slip between the cracks so exposed.
