I remember reading an article back in the 1980s--in American Heritage magazine, of all places--whose gravamen was "Yes, there was a coverup by the Warren Commission, but it's not what you think." In essence the article argued that--given the public attitudes toward both the Soviets and the Castro regime--they could not allow Oswald's ties to Russia and Cuba to become the story. Hence the "Oswald acted alone" narrative.
Given what Grok has highlighted about how "mistakes were made" as they say nowadays, I suspect there was a fair amount of bureaucratic CYA going on as well. But I think there's a strong possibility that had the extent of Oswald's ties to our enemies been made public, public rage might well have pushed us into an ugly confrontation. Let's not forget that the JFK assassination only came about a year after the Cuban Missile Crisis.
It was a very different world and it is very hard for anyone born in the last four decades to fully appreciate how different it was.
We have better tools now. And those tools will keep improving, faster and faster. The increasing rate of change is already causing Mass cognitive dissonance. Look for that to increase.
So nothing on the Zapruder video, in its original color, not the black and white release, which clearly shows Oswald on the ground at Dealey Plaza...Nothing about the fake autopsy, lost bullet, new evidence that several bullets hit JFK....etc...
Either the FBI ignored all this, or it was deleted before the release...
They had over 60 years to edit the files (add, subtract, tweak). These files - and the Epstein files, etc - are tailored products. While it's "nice" that they released them it wouldn't be prudent to anticipate that they contain anything not deliberately determined for release.
Keep in mind that everybody involved with the creation of the files, as well as the events on which the files are based, is now dead. What we are currently running on is the institutional memory of the IC and government in general, certainly a shaky proposition
Seems as though the CIA missed a few things...

This masterpiece of an independent documentary is as close to the REAL truth as you’re gonna get.
Why bury a nothing burger for 75 years?
Because it's not a nothing Burger. The question, however, is precisely what sort of burger it really is.

Pretty much what I figured. It's very interesting how well AI seems to have gone through it given how quickly it did the job.
Unless someone invents a time machine we'll never know definitively.
